The Lake Victoria waters are safe for swimming purposes.
Pearl Beach Gardens provides the extra enhancements
like beach side benches, refreshments and etc. Please
inquire at the resort about life guard services
and other swimming needs.
BIRD WATCHING
For bird watchers, the Ssese Islands offer a variety
of species of birds. With great surroundings and
the unspoiled nature of these islands you are sure
to find some of the rare bird species here.
Birds found on the Ssese Islands include; parrots,
touraco, flycatcher, whale-headed Stork, many geese
and herons, fish eagles, weavers and kingfishers.
BAR/RESTAURANT
PGBK operates a fully stocked bar. Drinks range
from the local brands to the imported/international
ones. Our bar serves wines, spirits and popular
beers. Please ask the bartender/servers for your
favorites.
We operate an onsite restaurant serving tasty foods
of international standards. The menu has both quick
bites and full course meals all prepared to taste
by our own experienced and qualified chefs.
A breakfast buffet comprising of fresh fruits and
other breakfast items is served begriming early
morning to give you a quick and fresh start.
In addition to our tasty foods and drinks, Pearl
Gardens Beach offers you a 3-acre botanical
garden where you are free to pick and enjoy
fresh fruits!
ENTERTAINMENT &
DANCING/SPORTS
We have live bands and/or cultural groups performing
at the resort regularly. These entertainers are
hired to lift your spirits. However we do have dancing
on Fridays.
For sports, Pearl Gardens Beach has football (soccer)
and netball grounds on site. For the fishing enthusiast,
you are in for it as this is the most common sport
practiced here. Several species of fish are available
in the area.
Other Activities include: sunbathing, trekking/nature
